what i did today.

I love crafting. And I love weddings, it turns out. So I'm feeling pretty great about all the DIY wedding stuff I have planned. Here's what I worked on today: centerpieces. My goal is to create an array of mismatched, earthy, vintage-inspired vases.

I wrapped hemp around a snapple bottle and got this pretty, rustic vase. Instead of wooden roses, picture fresh wildflowers (and possibly some billy balls and succulents). Also, lots o lots o branches. Oh yeah--and moss. I've got all the stuff to try this project and I can't wait; Mason Jar Bride has been so pleasant and helpful!

Thanks to friends and family, my collection of bottles is rapidly growing. Who knew bottles could be so much fun?!

With the help of my grandma, I'm hoping to make these for the wedding, too. They're so cute--how can I resist?

And how cute is the bouquet in this ad?

I'm loving how all of this! I can't wait to see how it all turns out! One thing I did at my reception that I loved and I think would fit in well with your other ideas is hanging candles in the trees. I used baby food jars and small votives- but any size is beautiful- the twinkle effect is amazing!
